  3. 1) Lise Delorme is investigating Cardinal because the other detectives have a hunch that he could be involved with the work of criminal Kyle Corbett. She takes on the mission to investigate her own partner because Detective Srgent Don Dyson had insisted she do a search on him and descretely observe his house even without a warrent. Since they are partners this allows Delorme to investigate him without him knowing. She feels uncomfortable in this situation because its bad enough he doesnt want her as a partner but if ever he find out she is working behind his back and ovbserving/judging his every move, it would be a calamity. He already has doubts in her abilities and if he found out she was digging up dirt about him he would never trust her and this would not be the ideal partnership to have while solving a crime together.

  4. 6) Edie and Eric are the antagonists/ murderers in this story, although Eric is the one who has the urge to kill and is the one who plans and records all of the murders. Eric finds pleasure in the act of murder.

  5. 7) Edie stays with Eric throughout these events because she loves him for his dark and mysterious nature. Another reason she stays with him is because he accepts her in spite of her skin condition on her face, when others don't.
