  1. 6) Yes, I think the weather is important in this story because it is winter throughout the story and therefore is cold, dark and snowy. This sets the mood for the story - that it is fairly dark and gloomy. Also if the weather had been different they would not have found Katie Pine's body and the story would have been different because of that.
